Fight or Flight in a Pandemic

At first it didn't seem so bad. The covid virus started to spread and places started to shut down. Our workplace closed up and we had to start working from home. Kids were told not to come back to school and wait for instructions. That was back in March.

It's October now and not a whole lot has changed. Kids are still at home virtually schooling and I am still working from home. I always have to lead with the caveat that I am not complaining. So many people are out of work or sick from the virus. So in that regard I am thankful. I have not succumbed to either.

But the toll this is taking on the spirit is difficult. Not seeing my coworkers, friends, and family as per usual can get very depressing. I haven't travelled anywhere for 6 months. Two vacations have been cancelled. Flying is hard and I long for the days when we would jump in the car and go down to the Keys for a weekend or get on a plane and go to New York for a weekend. Nothing like that will be happening for the time being and I worry if it will happen at all in the next year. Time will tell. All I can do now is try my hardest to make the best of nature, take long walks, exercise in my garage and journal (blog) and keep on keeping on.

In the meantime, this mascara has given my life. It's the 4D epic mascara and really helps for a quick mood pickup.
